    The Kerala government reserves 85% of MBBS seats in state-recognized institutions across Kerala for students who are native to the state. This is done through the Kerala State NEET Counselling, which is conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations-Kerala. The remaining 15% of MBBS seats are reserved for the following categories:
    • Management quota seats in government institutions: These seats are open to students from all over India, regardless of their domicile.
    • NRI quota seats in private colleges: These seats are open to foreign nationals and NRIs.

    Kerala NEET UG Counselling 2023: Eligibility Criteria

    • The candidate must have passed the NEET 2023 exam.
    • The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST category) in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology (PCB) in Class 12th.
    • The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
    • The candidate must be a native of Kerala (for admission to 85% state quota seats).
    • The candidate must have a domicile certificate issued by the Government of Kerala.

    • NEET 2023 admit card.

    Kerala NEET UG Counselling 2023: Process

    1. Registration: Candidates must register for the counselling process through the official website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala (CEE Kerala). The registration process will begin in April 2023.
    2. Submission of NEET Score: Candidates must submit their NEET UG 2023 score in the counselling portal. The last date to submit the NEET UG score is April 20, 2023.
    3. Choice Filling: Candidates will be allowed to fill their choices of colleges and courses in the online choice filling window. The choice filling window will be open for a few days.
    4. Seat Allotment: The seat allotment will be done based on the merit list and the choices filled by the candidates. The first round of seat allotment will be released in July 2023.
    5. Reporting to the allotted college: Candidates who are allotted a seat must report to the allotted college with the required documents within the stipulated time.
