As we all Know that for MBBS Admission qualifying NEET 2024 cut-off is compulsory, after qualifying NEET its compulsory to appear for NEET Counseling either for all india or state to take admission in MBBS Course.NEET UG Counseling is conducted in online mode only. NEET UG Counseling procedure is conducted for all students at different levels for all AIQ and state quota seats. Admission to MBBS BDS and B.SC Nursing courses is based on NEET Counseling only. There are two types of NEET counseling: All India and State counseling, Here we will discuss both counseling processes.
On the basis of NEET 2024 results, admissions to MBBS/BDS courses under AIQ, deemed universities, and ESIC/AFMC colleges in the country are provided by the MCC All India Counseling process. The NEET exam qualifying is a compulsory requirement for MBBS Admission India. There are only 15% seats in AIQ quota Counseling and remaining 85% seats are in state counsellings .

NEET UG Counselling 2024: Types
There are two types of NEET Counselling for MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing Admissions
- AIQ level NEET UG Counselling is for 15 % of Govt. Seats, plus 100 % of Deemed and Central University seats, ESIC, AFMC, AIIMs and JIPMER seats.
- State Quota NEET UG Counselling is for 85 Percent of Govt. seats and 100 % of private seats of the states.

How to apply for NEET AIQ Counselling 2024?
Step 1: Complete the MCC NEET registration process, including payment (Application and Security Money).
Step 2: NEET 2024 counselling choice filling and locking.
Step 3: Round 1 seat allotment and result announcement
Step 4: Reporting to the allotted Medical/Dental College (option for free entry/exit)
Step 5: Round 2 net vacant seats are published.
Step 6: NEET counselling round 2 registration (not necessary for already registered candidates) and fresh choice filling for NEET counselling round 2
Step 7: Round 2 of seat allocation (exit with forfeiture of security amount option available)
Step 8: Reporting to medical/dental colleges/institutions in preparation for round 2 (candidates once joined the allotted seat are not allowed to vacate the seat).

Qualified and eligible candidates need to register at mcc.nic.in NEET UG 2024. Applicants must fill out some details like their NEET roll number, registration number, name, mother’s name, and date of birth. NEET UG all India counselling 2024 – What is free exit? What is the exit with forfeiture?
Free Exit (only for round 1)
– A candidate assigned a seat in round 1 who does not join/report to the college to which they have been assigned would not be penalised (the security deposit would not be forfeited). Candidates will be eligible for further rounds without any registration.
Exit with forfeiture –
If a candidate is offered a seat in round 2 but does not intend to take the seat, they can still exit with forfeiture (losing the security amount deposited) within the period given and can make new registrations in further rounds of counselling.
Step 2: Choices filling for NEET UG Counselling 2024
Applicants must make a list of their dream medical college choices. NEET Aspirants can use the NEET college predictor if they want to know their chance of getting into medical college based on their NEET Rank. For the NEET counselling 2024 process, they will be able to choose from this list of choices in counselling website.
Steps to Fill & check NEET UG counselling choice filling 2024.
To fill choices in NEET Counselling, follow these steps:
- Log in to the counselling website using the registration credentials.
- Go to the choice filling section.
- Browse through the list of available colleges and courses.
- Select and prioritise your preferred choices.
- Save and lock the choices before the scheduled date and time.
- Take a printout of the filled choices for future reference.
Step 3:NEET UG Seat Allotment
Candidates must log in and download their seat allotment letters as soon as they are released by MCC. A free exit is available in the first round, while a forfeiture exit is available in the second round.

Step 4: Reporting to the allotted college
After allotment of seats, a candidate must report to the designated college to complete the admissions processes. Reporting or joining during the first round is not mandatory(it depends on candidates desire). Candidates wishing to take a seat or upgrade must join and report to the allotted medical college. If in second round Candidate not reports in allotted medical college his or her security money will be forfeited. While reporting to the assigned college, candidates must present the original documents.
Note: Candidates joining the allotted seat in the second round will not be eligible to resign/surrender their seats and will not be permitted to participate in state counselling either.
