Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling: Overview

NEET aspirants can take MBBS admission in Maharashtra medical college through NEET UG All India counselling and Maharashtra state NEET UG Counselling. Maharashtra is an open state which means that other state students can also participate in Maharashtra state NEET UG counselling for MBBS admission in private medical colleges. There are total 32 Government and 36 Private medical colleges in Maharashtra.

Other state students can take admission in Govt. medical colleges through all India counselling, for private medical colleges they must have to participate in  state NEET UG Counselling. Step 1: Online Registration

  • Visit The Official Website For Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling-https://cetcell.mahacet.org/
  • Click On The Registration Link.
  • Fill In Your Details, Including:
  • Candidate’s Name
  • Gender
  • Nationality
  • Nativity
  • Aadhaar Number
  • Date Of Birth
  • Category
  • Disability Status
  • Educational Qualification
  • Email Id
  • Mobile Number
  • Communication Address
  • Review The Information For Accuracy.
  • Submit The Form.

Step 2: Upload Documents

You’ll Be Prompted To Upload The Following Documents:

  • Recent Color Photograph With A White Background (15kb-100kb), Dimention of the photograf should be 150 pixel width and 200 pixels height in jpg/ jpeg formet.
  • Signature On White Paper With Blue/Black Ink (4kb-100kb), Dimention of the photograf should be 150 pixel width and 100 pixels height in jpg/ jpeg formet.
  • Other Relevant Documents (E.G., Category Certificates, Qualification Certificates) As A Single PDF File (Size Not Exceeding 500 KB).
  • PDF format of Certificates The following certificates in PDF format should be kept ready and the same must be uploaded in the application portal. This is mandatory for all candidates.
  • Class X Certificate Candidate’s Class X (SSLC) Certificate is mandatory and to be uploaded in the online application.
  • Proof for Nativity Birth Certificate/SSLC Certificate/Passport showing the candidate’s place of birth. For details of other documents as Nativity Proof, see Prospectus Clause 6.1.1.
  • Proof for Date of Birth PDF format of date of birth proof must be uploaded in the application portal.

Step 3: Preview Uploaded Images

  • After Uploading, Preview The Uploaded Images.
  • Ensure That Your Photograph And Signature Are Clearly Visible In The Appropriate Spaces.
  • If The Images Are Not Satisfactory, You Can Re-Upload Them Following The Same Procedure.
  • Confirm That The Spaces For Photograph And Signature Are Not Swapped.

Step 4: Declaration And Final Submission

  • Review All Filled Information.
  • If All Details Are Correct, Select The ‘Declaration’ Checkbox.
  • Click On The Final SUBMIT Button.
  • After Submission, An Application/Registration Number Will Be Generated.
  • You Will Receive An Email And SMS With The Application Number And Password. Keep These For Future Reference.

Step 5: Application Fee Payment

  • Click On The Provided Link For Fee Payment.
  • Follow The Instructions To Complete The Payment.
  • Payment Can Be Made Through Internet Banking, Debit Card, Or Credit Card.
  • After Payment, Save The Payment Slip For Reference.
  • Bank Charges/Payment Gateway Charges Are The Applicant’s Responsibility.
  • Ensure Payment Is Made Within The Due Date.

Step 1: Registration

Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling: Eligibility Criteria

Maharashtra MBBS Admission Process

(1) Registration: Candidates must register for the counselling process through the official website .

(2) Fee and Document Submission of NEET Score: Candidates must submit fee and documents to Official website.

The official dates for Maharashtra NEET MBBS Counselling 2024 are yet to be announced. However, it is expected to begin in July 2024. Stay tuned to the official website of the West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) for updates

There will be a total of 3 rounds of counselling for Maharashtra NEET UG 2024. The first round will be the main round, and the second and third rounds will be the mop-up rounds.

To be eligible for Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling 2024, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • They must have passed the NEET UG 2024 exam.
  • They must have scored at least the minimum qualifying marks in NEET UG 2024.
  • They must have completed their 12th standard education with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects.
  • They must be a domicile of West Bengal.

 The following documents are required for Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling 2024:

  • NEET 2024 Admit Card
  • 12th standard mark sheet
  • Domicile certificate (for West Bengal domicile candidates only)
  • Character certificate
  • Medical fitness certificate
  • Aadhaar card
  • Passport size photograph
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Proof of payment of counselling fee

 The application process for West Bengal NEET UG Counselling 2024 will be online. Candidates can apply through the official website.

The seat allotment for Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling 2024 will be done on the basis of the merit list prepared by the West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the NEET UG 2024 scores.

There are two ways to participate in Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling 2024:

  • Direct counselling: Candidates who have qualified for the NEET UG 2024 exam can participate in the direct counselling.
  • Management quota: Candidates who want to get admission through the management quota can participate in the management quota counselling
