Bihar MBBS Admission 2026-27: Overview

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) will be conducting Bihar MBBS Admission 2026-27 in May/June 2026-27. The application form for the same will be made available on the official website of BCECEB. Eligible candidates are required to fill and submit the form before the deadline. The selection of candidates for counselling will be done on the basis of their NEET scores. The counselling process will include document verification and seat allotment. The admission will be granted to the candidates after the allotment of seats in the participating institutes.

For Bihar MBBS admission 2026-27 in Govt colleges of Bihar only Bihar resident students or students having domicile of Bihar can apply But in private medical colleges of Bihar every student who qualified NEET 2026-27 and is resident of India can apply. Bihar MBBS Admission 2026-27: Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification
    1. Candidate must have passed 12th class examination of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English with minimum 50% marks in qualifying examination of 12th class.
    2. Candidates with physical disabilities in the general category must get at least a 45% aggregate in their Class 12 exams, while candidates with disabilities in the reserved categories must earn at least a 40% aggregate.
    3. The minimal NEET cut-off percentile specified by CBSE must be achieved in order for a candidate to be admitted to the MBBS/BDS programme in Rajasthan.
  • Guidelines for Natives / Domicile Holders
    • The following criteria must be met by applicants who seek to be considered for admission under the 85% state quota for MBBS and BDS admissions in Bihar
    1. One whose parent(s) is a permanent resident of India.
    2. Candidates whose parent(s) are refugees in the Bihar state.
    3. Candidates whose one of parents is not a permanent resident of the state but working for the Government of Bihar.
    4. The parents of students who are in a transferable job in Bihar and Jharkhand state.
    5. The candidate’s parents should be working in the Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) of the Government of India.
    6. Candidates whose parent/s are working with the United Nations and are recruited in Bihar.
  • Age Limit
    • Applicants must meet the age requirements set out by the administration in order to be considered for admission to Bihar medical colleges
    • Minimum age of 17 as of December 31, 2025

All the certificates included in the list given below, if applicable, must be submitted in original by every candidate at the time of his/ her counselling / allotment on the scheduled date

As per above table, the candidate has to pay the refundable security deposit through online mode only e.g. by Credit card/Debit Card/ Net Banking / UPI at the time of registration and submission of the application form. The candidate has also to pay processing charge in addition to Counselling / Registration Fee and Security Deposit for payment through online mode.

Bihar MBBS Admission 2026-27: Reservation

  • In accordance with government regulations, under Bihar NEET Counselling 2025, 15% of the seats in government colleges would be reserved for MBBS/BDS programmers on an All India basis.
  • The remaining 85% of seats are covered by the state quota and will be filled in the Bihar MBBS and BDS admissions 2025 on the basis of merit and preference, with reservations for the following categories.
